The City of Croswell would like to thank all of our residents and businesses for their patience while we transition our water system. Without all of their support and dedication to our City we would not be the great town that we are today.
Water Update
The City of Croswell built a new filter plant at 159 Louise St. This plant was built because the old filter plant was beyond its serviceable life. The new plant was put into operation on June 3, 2020.
Since the start of the new plant the City has been receiving complaints about the water quality in the distribution system. We are addressing all complaints and this is of the highest priority for the City. Please, if you are having any issues with water quality at your home or business, we would appreciate it if you would contact us so we can look into any issue that you are having with your water quality, call Croswell City Hall at 810-679-2299.
As you notice around town, we have been doing a lot of flushing of hydrants and homes. We are testing to make sure we are still sending our customers clean potable water. We have also had a third party come in, Michigan Rural Water, and they are helping us locate and solve any issues we are having. We have also been in heavy contact with EGLE (Mich. Dept of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy) and our water quality is at the top of their list. We have a lot of Water quality specialists looking into the situation and we hope we can resolve this issue in a timely manner.
Once again thank you for your support. If you have any questions please contact City Hall and they will direct you to the appropriate department, 810-679-2299.
